toledo Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Background: I've been watching this area for a couple of months. I usually bid on Priceline, as it's usually cheaper and the properties are usually very nice. Unfortunately, Pricline seems to be giving out the Gran Melia at winning bids of around $120 per night. I bid up to $90/night/room and was rejected. I was really hoping for El Conquistador, but it hasn't appeared much on either site (I even added children to my request, which some have reported will increase your chances of getting the El Con). According to your site, it looked like the following list of amenities is the Rio Mar and I'm happy to report that it was, as recent hotel reviews have been better for Rio Mar than Gran Melia. 4* 90% approval rating$97 per room for 2 rooms on 4/6 for one night (Hotel web site was $200-220/room)$57.96 in taxes and fees were added, bringing the total to $251.96 (I hope they don't slap on a resort fee when I get there)ResortBeachfront PropertyOceanfront PropertyCasinoAirport ShuttleSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)RetaurantBusiness CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesChildren's Activity Program
