timchi29 Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 This is the first time I am using Priceline and I am heading to Toronto for a business trip. I have meeting in the Financial District, so was going to choose 4 star hotel in Toronto Downtown South. I have been staying from these sites due to not knowing where you will stay. I assume a 4 Star in Toronto Downtown South is a safe bet? Any suggestions on where to start the bid?
AaronJB Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide your desired budget per night and date/s of travel and we would be happy to offer suggestions.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
timchi29 Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 It will be one night arriving on 2/22/12. From poking around, looks like $65 might be a god starting place or is that low balling?
AaronJB Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Actually, rates do look on the low side for these dates - I'd start at $55 (which very well may be low-balling, but is worth a try) and work higher by $5's using re-bidding.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

timchi29 Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 Thanks Aaron. How does the rebidding work? Can I do it right a way, or do I need to wait a certain time frame?
Romelle Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 There is a good discussion on re-bidding in the FAQs (above). You need to understand how to identify your free re-bid zones, since they can change and you need to check them just before bidding. With the free re-bid zones, you can bid right away the same day.Toronto is particularly easy, since there are lots of them. After you've reviewed the FAQ discussion, if you post back here with the list of zones you think are Toronto free rebid zones at the 4* level, somebody will double check them for you.In essence, you are looking for the zones that DO NOT have 4* or higher bidding available. timchi29 Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 Thanks. Couldnt figured out the free rebid, but got the sheraton center for $90.
