Priceline Hotel: 3* Sarasota (Downtown - Airport) Residence Inn By Marriott Sarasota Bradenton

Hi from Germany,

I am just planning our 1st trip to Florida in May. Some days ago I was successful on the Hyatt Place Estero.

Now I am looking for the Hyatt Place Sarasota (downtown area and airport) from 11. to 14. May because I have read a lot of good reports regarding this hotel. But there a several 3* hotel in this area.

Does anybody have an idea how to increase the chance to win the Hyatt Place in Sarasota. I have read some past wins, and this was between 40$ and 89$

There is no way to ensure or increase the odds of a particular property when bidding on PRICELINE. If you bid 3*, you have to be willing to accept any 3* in the area, or possibly being upgraded to a higher star rating (if there is a higher star rating in the zone.)

With HOTWIRE one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing, but only one shows up at each star level in each zone for each set of dates.

Are you willing to accept only the Hyatt Place, or would you be okay with any of the hotels in the zone?

Hi Aaron,

because I have read numerous good Reports about the Hyatt Place in some German boards I would prefer this hotel. I know that nobody can guarantee this hotel when I bid.

But maybe there is any good Idea like 50% or 75% of the rates on the Hotels Homepage or something like this .....

Bidding a particular discount and/or particular price does not increase the chances of a particular property.

Unfortunately, there's not much on HOTWIRE for these dates - the only property in the downtown zone is a 1* and there's a 2.5* in the airport zone, although the 2.5* has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. The Hyatt Place airport has been last seen at 3*.

We were looking for the Hyatt Place in Sarasota, but finally we were successful with the Residence Inn by Marriott.

I was unable to find reports here in the board, but some reports at Tripadvisor. Hope my win is OK.

If you're not familiar with this chain, their properties are like jr. suites (with a 3/4 wall dividing the bedroom are and the living area) and have kitchenettes, free breakfast and free internet.
