sthomasa Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 I'm sure this has been answered a zillion times. And I always use the BB PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Here's the same old question. I am PLing Seattle for two rooms for two nights and getting nowhere. I really only need the second room for the second night. Because it is for a teen, I am afraid I will not get the same hotel. If I bid and get SPACE NEEDLE (only one 4*) for one room should a create a new account for my wife and bid the second night until I get it?Complex....
thereuare Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 So i fully understand... you've been bidding on two rooms/two nites and would just 'eat' the cost of the 2nd room for the 2nd nite? However, this has been rejected so you're thinking it may be due to your bidding on two rooms and therefore are thinking of trying two bids:First purchase: 1room/2nitesSecond purchase: 1room/1niteWhat are the date(s) of your stay and which zone(s) and bid amounts have you already tried?Let us know the info above and we'll take it from there. Note that after your next reply we'll move this thread to the Washington (state) >> Priceline section of the board and we'll continue the conversation there. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. sthomasa Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 I have been bidding for two rooms for several days. Always stopping at 80.00.I only needed the second room the second night. Started at 76.00 and went to 80.00. Now I need the same hotel for a second night... Ideas? Book direct, I guess.I used the BB PRICELINE link as always. Thanks for being there....
AaronJB Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 Congrats on your success. :)Terrific deal for this Renaissance property! Hope you are looking forward to your stay.Did the service offer an additional night when using the "add a night" feature under your PRICELINE account?Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
sthomasa Posted February 18, 2012 Author Report Posted February 18, 2012 There was no offer for an additional night. I needed an additional room for one of the two nights.I have had this problem before and I guess I'll solve the same way. Buying two rooms seems more expensive than buying one. Only a day ago, I offered 80.00 for two rooms and was turned down. I may have to pay over twice as much (205.00) for one night at the Renaissance. Does anyone know...can I bid for another hotel room, same account, during the same stay? I can only guess that since there are so many 4*, I have little chance of getting the same hotel. I should have gone Space Needle. Only one 4* there. Is there any way to tell if Renaissance is on hotwire with unique attributes?
thereuare Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 The Renaissance has been reported to the board thru HOTWIRE, but it uses multiple amenity sets, most of which have also been associated with other properties. You can see the amenities this property has used in the past in the Hotwire Hotel List.Unfortunately the Renaissance is selling for $200+ for the nite you need, so it will be an expensive proposition to book the additional room direct. If you decide to try the opaque providers for the additional room feel free to start a NEW TOPIC and we'll try to assist you there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
