My bids have not been successful early on, partly due to my own ignorance. I'm hoping to get help from more savvy bidders.

Trip criterion:

Flight

-Departure can be from any airport in Arkansas. I live closer to Little Rock.

-Arrival in Boston would be no later than 4pm ideally on Wednesday, 03/28/12. Any time before that is fine.

-I can come home at any time after 10am on Sunday, 04/01/12.

-I don't care how many stops or which airline it is. Just want the cheapest.

Hotel

-Check-in 03/28/12, Check out 04/01/12.

-I'll spend most of my time at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, though I'm not picky about the area (so long as I'm not fearing for my life).

-I'd like at least a 3-star hotel.

-Require Amenities: Free parking & free internet. Breakfast of any kind would be very nice but not required.

-1 room, 2 adults.

Car

-I do not care at all what type of car. Just want the absolute cheapest.

Ideally, I'd like the flight, hotel, and car to be under or right around $1300 for both my wife and I. Much cheaper than this would be EXCELLENT. What is my best bet here? Vacation packages or individual bidding on each? If bidding on each one by one is the way to go, please help me to put together a bidding strategy that would meet the above criteria and budget. I GREATLY appreciate any help you guys have to offer.

It has become obvious that renting a car would be a poor idea. So, free parking is not a requirement. An area that allows for easy travel to the Convention Center as well as shopping/food in Boston would be ideal. The rest remains the same.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please post your question regarding airfare in the airfare section of the board (although I will note regarding PRICELINE bidding for airfare and arrival departure times, there are no guarantees: ("Your trip will start between 6am and 10pm on your travel dates. Although we always look for non-stop flights first, Priceline flights may make up to one connection each way. Your exact flights and times will be shown to you once your purchase is complete. We will issue convenient electronic tickets.")

In terms of hotels and breakfast, the only way to guarantee breakfast is to use HOTWIRE - that service provides a list of amenities with each HOTWIRE listing, and you can look for one that lists breakfast. However, there is no guarantee that a listing with breakfast will be showing for your dates. If you search for your dates, are there any listings of interest showing?

There is no way to guarantee breakfast via PRICELINE bidding, although some areas *may* show some guaranteed amenities when the star rating is selected. Free internet is not a guarantee with either service, and many major city properties do not offer free internet.

What bids have you made so far?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
