I've been bidding 4 star in the Beach area of Ft. Lauderdale (trying to pigeon hole Hyatt Pier 66) for January '06 and had NO LUCK whatsoever. I've bid up to $130. I think I'm just bidding too early for January. I would be very happy with the Marriott Marina as well (Downtown area) but haven't added that yet because it sounds like people are more likely to get the Renaissance than the Marriott.

I think I need to just sit tight awhile. Luckily, I already have a "cancelable" reservations which I may or may not ultimately need. It seems like the prices for winter '06 are much higher than they were for '05.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I separated your post from the thread that you replied to as you and the other poster are bidding different dates and entirely different zones so i don't think their was enough of a correlation.

If you'd like help with your own stay please let us know the actual dates of your travel.

Thanks!

hi Petlover!!

It is Jan! We got the Hyatt that you are trying to get for the weekend before Thanksgivng and it was needless to say high!! We were trying for the Mariott Marina- could not even get that. We went ahead and got the Hyatt. Going out on the Caribbean Princess- I know it is not Seven Seas but it is a fun ship and a ton of things to do on it. And we have suites.
