alatron2 Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 I used the PRICELINE link to search for a Las Vegas Hotel.I started with $100 and bid incrementally by $5 up to $135 and did not win. This is for a 5* in Strip North and South for 2 rooms 5/18 - 5/21.I will try again in the next few days and see if results improve.
thereuare Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Rates are somewhat high for these dates and at current prices (things can always change) $135 doesn't seem like a likely win... you'll probably need to be more in the $160-$180 at current prices, imo. Is $135 your maximum bid at this time? Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

AaronJB Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Sorry to hear that your bids haven't been accepted. At this point though, before going much higher, I'll note that the Vdara is on sale for $205 from Orbitz - but that also offers a $100 food/beverage credit (not per night, for the entire stay.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz links to start your purchases and searches.
alatron2 Posted February 22, 2012 Author Report Posted February 22, 2012 I bid $170 today in the sames zones, Strip North and South, 5* using the PRICELINE link. Still no luck. There must be something going on that weekend.
AaronJB Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Sorry to hear that bids have still not been accepted. :(Before going much further in terms of bidding 5* South, would the Vdara deal above be of any interest? (as the Vdara is a possibility at the 5* level in the South Strip zone.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz links to start your purchases and searches.
alatron2 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Report Posted February 24, 2012 Possibly but I think I am just going to wait it out and see if prices come back down.
