bsmk06 Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Submitted a price of $50 and got a suggestion from Priceline to try $68. After days of trying, I got desperate and caved. I got Atlanta Marriott Downtown, which was one of only 2 hotels out of 20 that I DID NOT want. Go figure. Additional $30 a day for parking.
thereuare Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Sorry to hear you received one of the hotels you were hoping to avoid. In the future if you're trying to target, or avoid, a specific property then HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can take an educated guess as to what you may receive based upon the amenities and any other information shown before your purchase (for example if the hotel you're hoping to avoid doesn't have a pool, you can 'safely' purchase any HOTWIRE offer showing a pool amenity and know that it's not the hotel you're hoping to avoid) Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please read your messages and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
rocc63 Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 There may be cheaper parking available a few blocks from hotel (if you are interested to explore that). There may be parking coupons for some hotels-you could Google search (there are always coupons for Westin peachtree)
homefire Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 try parking outside of the hotel. I find a parking garage at more than half the cost of the hotel.....
