adinap Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 I bid using the PRICELINE link in this forum. Started out at $90, and rebid in $5 increments using the free rebid zone until $140 was accepted. I thought it would be easier to bid on a hotel mid-week, but it turns out there is a large Hardware Convention going on at the same time. The Wynn website quoted $299 a night for the same time period, so I got a great deal.
AaronJB Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Congrats on your success. :)Definitely an awesome deal for this Las Vegas property! Glad you are pleased with the result and are looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Congratulations on your success! Looks like an excellent deal for this 5* property, especially considering the convention taking place during your trip.Glad to see you're pleased with the results and looking forward to your trip. NOTE that if you cross the street to the Fashion Show Mall there is a starbucks (2 of them actually) that have 'regular' priced coffee/food as opposed to the drastically overpriced Starbucks inside the hotels (where i was told a banana was $2.85... uh, no thanks)... as well as a Chipoltes and an ABC Store where you can stock up on soda, snacks, wine, beer for your room if you'd like.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
adinap Posted May 4, 2012 Author Report Posted May 4, 2012 I just got back from my trip, and wanted to give an update. My Priceline documentation said I was booked for the Wynn, but when I checked in, they told me my reservation was actually for the Encore next door. They had me down for 2 beds on the 11th floor. I asked for an upgrade since we were celebrating our anniversary, and she moved me up to the 61st floor in a Panoramic View Double Queen Suite, with a strip view! It was fabulous.
AaronJB Posted May 4, 2012 Report Posted May 4, 2012 Wow! Certainly sounds like a fantastic experience, and glad you enjoyed your stay. Certainly the first report of a user being moved to the Encore. Thanks again for the follow-up, and definitely a great result.
