hi_folks Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Hello,I'm looking to book two rooms in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. I'd like to find two 5* rooms for four nights (we are a little flexible with travel dates) somewhere on the Strip for the entire stay if possible, but I can't afford the rack rates. If I were to try bidding on priceline, what would be a reasonable winning bid? Also, one group is traveling with an young child. Would priceline rooms accommodate two persons and one child even though they are only guaranteed for double occupancy? Thanks in advance for any insight!

hi_folks Posted February 15, 2012 Author Report Posted February 15, 2012 Hi,Thanks for responding. My nephew is a little over 1 year so he will likely need to have a crib. Usually most hotels will accommodate this by bringing one up upon request at check-in. Can I assume that priceline rooms will also make such an accommodation? As for budet, I think that we'd ideally like to keep it a maximum of $150/night (but less would be better). I'm assuming that with taxes and all these resort fees, the cost will bump it up to around $180 or so which I think is upper limit of what my group can realistically afford. Is that doable? If so, how would you suggest we go about bidding? Thanks in advance!

Can I assume that priceline rooms will also make such an accommodation? The hotel wouldn't not bring you a crib/Pak N Play because you booked on PRICELINE... if they offer cribs and/or have them available, you'll get one (although some may charge extra for this, it depends upon hotel policy).I'm going to guess that $150 may not be enough for a 5* hotel on the strip, but you can give it a try. Assuming both Strip North and Strip South are acceptable, you can try as follows:At the 5* level in Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select Strip North and Strip South...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
