Not happy, thought I was getting the Downtown Value Inn based on the Trip Advisor rating and amenities. This property (Portland/City Center Travelodge Motel) available cheaper through the Travelodge.com website. Hopefully by posting, will save someone the same mistake.

And of course, I used the HOTWIRE link.

Sorry to hear this wasn't the hotel you were expecting and that you're disappointed with the results.

Do note that HOTWIRE has a 'Best Rate Guarantee' (based upon room rate only and must be a rate available to the general public (ie- not AAA, senior, etc)) so if the Travelodge's website has a room rate for less than $40/nite you can contact HOTWIRE to have them refund the difference.

Yes, thanks for the reminder.

They caught me on the base rate part of the guarantee, the Travelodge's rate is higher, but without Hotwire recovery fees, the Travelodge.com total is lower.
