kstrenth Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 I have better watching the bids and using my zones for 4 and 5 star hotel London, 3 nights bid up to 118.00 since reports of wins from $100 to $110 US. Priceline even shows 4 star winning bid $115 and I have had no luck. I have been trying for 4 days now and refresh and NO luck. I am trying to stay as close to central London and have used most zones in area (Mayfair, Soho, West, Kenng, Tower, Regents etc. Didnt think I was too soon since a month away. I still have to book Paris but wanted to get this secure first. Please help any ideas???

vanpoodle Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Just so you know, weekends tend to have the really good deals in London, your dates are during the week and a really low bid might not get accepted. I have experienced this and bid on Chelsea and got the Copthorne at Chelsea Football Club for $120. At that point nothing below $140 was being accepted in the zones I like and I knew I was either going to have to pay more or be in a less desired place (though it was still a short ride on the tube to Central London so it wasn't really that far out). Other people choose to bid on Docklands in that situation as well since it is still on the tube line and a few wins came in recently at $85. I've had good luck in Notting Hill as well, mind you those were weekend dates when I had a bid of $83 accepted, and then had to move out to the Chelsea Football Club for the rest of my stay.
