I used the PRICELINE link on this site to find a place to stay in March for my mother's 52nd birthday. I had failed to win a 5* hotel on the N. Strip for the last two days despite adding all available rebid zones and upping the price in $5 increments with a last bid of $135. I decided to search for a 4* on the N. Strip today and added all available re-bid zones including: Boulder, Henderson, Nellis, NW Vegas, and Summerlin. Upon selecting Summerlin (3.5* was the highest level available) and I didn't know about the resort level icon/situation, I ended up winning the Red Rock Resort for $85 per night and wasn't very happy since I really wanted to be on the Strip. I spoke with two different people at Priceline and got absolutely no help. I guess I will learn from this lack of information regarding resort-level properties and hope I can save someone else the frustration. The resort has decent ratings and I'm sure it will be fine, just far away from all the action.

Sorry to hear you received a hotel in a zone that you didn't expect. If you see most 4* Las Vegas bidding strategies we provide on the board we make it a point to remind users that Summerlin is not a re-bid zone. Always feel free to confirm your bidding strategy with the board before bidding.

At least it's a nice property and the hotel does provide shuttle service to both the Strip (and Airport), so hopefully you can make this work for your needs.
