mdogg6 Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 Hello.I have yet to get a successful bid via priceline, so I would very much appreciate some help!I need a room in Rome tomorrow night, 2/10 to 2/11, for one night only.Central Rome; I didnt' see any more detailed zones beyond that but ideally near Piazza Navona.Ideally a 5* room for 125$ ish, but max budget would be $140. This may not be realistic :).Second choice would be a 4* room, hotwire has one in this area for $56 but i was not able to identify it from the pinned list of hotels (Rome Center, breakfast and laundry). So...for a 4* room i would be hoping to pay something in this approximate range (certainly less than $90 all in). Thanks very much for you assistance!

thereuare Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 When bidding 5* in Rome you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Central...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140If the above is rejected, at the 4* level you have NO re-bid zones so you get one shot it (unless other zones are acceptable OR you're willing to bid today and still have a full 24 hours before you need to check-in tomorrow). While the 4* property on HOTWIRE has not been identified, if you're willing to 'roll the dice' with that one, i'd suggest first trying PRICELINE at $50, if that is rejected then take the HOTWIRE offer. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
