cocolo Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 It is my first try to bid the hotel in Priceline, try 3.5* from 50 to 62 and get rejected. Also try to bid 3* hotel up to 60 and still get rejected. Will the hotel price be that high? I bid the hotel for the night of 3/17which is a Saturday. Is it too early to bid the hotel?Hotwire shows they have 3* hotel for 65.What is your suggestion?

cocolo Posted February 9, 2012 Author Report Posted February 9, 2012 The amenities associated with the 3* offer in this zone is:Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service)My question is:Shall I book a room which can be cancelled free and try to bid in priceline for some days?Is it likely to get the bid for 3* hotel in LAX area for 55$ during this period? Are all the 3* hotel in LAX area has the airport bus? The one shown in hotwire does not show this amenities.
thereuare Posted February 9, 2012 Report Posted February 9, 2012 A 3* hotel with the amenities above has not yet been reported to the board, but my guess is that this may be the Four Points LAX with a new 'Smoke Free' amenity since it was last reported to the board.Nobody can say if rates for this particular nite will come down, or move even higher, between now and your stay; but there are certainly times when it takes in the mid-$60's to win a 3* hotel in this zone. While most hotels in this zone will likely offer shuttle service, this is not a guaranteed amenity, and if this is service you require (vs. want) then purchasing a property thru HOTWIRE that shows the Shuttle amenity would be the safer route.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
