The rates for Feb 11-13 is lower ($60 on Hotwire for 4* Arlington zone) than Feb 10, so I am trying to book them separately. Hotwire lists Feb 10 at $76, or Feb 10-13 at $79 (obviously not worth it).

I tried $45 and $50 already on Priceline but still not getting it. How much margin is there on PL from Hotwire rates?

I also tried $70 for 4* in Downtown and Convention center and got counter of $89, and $55 for 3* in same area and got counter of $62, so my backup plan will be there.

Edit: I see that it's actually $79 on hotwire for 4*. Got it confused with the 3.5*. But it seems just a day or two ago it was biddable at $45 for 11-12! :(

Edit2: I ended up getting Palomar Arlington, A Kimpton Hotel for $63. It's an acceptable price for me though I preferred the Hyatt.

Did you win this thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? (if the latter, Can you please add a reply to this thread with the amenities shown before your purchase... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.)

While not your first choice of property in the area, this does seem to be an excellent rate for this well reviewed property, glad to hear you'll be able to make it work for your needs at this price.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Enjoy your stay.
