hi!

based on the Florida /hotwire list, is there anyway to diffrentiate a prediction between crown plaza and westin diplomat in Hollywood FL, if the description I am getting on Hotwire is as follows:

You cannot compare the Crown Plaza to the westin... I would not call the Crown Plaza a resort. They dont even have a spa of their own on premises. Also, Westin diplomat is a beachfront, why would they label it "near Beach" ?? please advise.

I am getting the ammenity description on Hotwire that I quoted above for two sets of dates that I put in for a 4* hotel in Hollywood Beach, FL. HOWEVER, the list of available hotels for this particular hotwire deal changes.

one set of dates reflect the following hotel choices: (2/12/2012 - 2/15/2012 $115)

Our 4-star hotels include:

Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts

If you notice the first set of dates has WESTIN as a choice and does NOT has CROWNE PLAZA as a choice.

The second set of dates does NOT Show WESTIN as choice but DOES show CROWNE PLAZA

IS this an indicator of my chances of getting the WESTIN for the first set of dates?? the first set of dates are also cheaper... I would think the Westin is pricier if anything...

I am trying to target the Westin!!

I wouldn't read into the different retail hotel names listed on each search as any indication as to when you're more/less likely to win the Westin.

For the HOTWIRE offer above, have you included the full list of amenities associated with this property? Do you have a preference of one set of dates vs. the other?

yes I have pasted the FULL list of ammenities above.

The dates are basically the same except that one set of dates is 3 nights not 4 nights...

maybe one hotel is not available the 4th night, so that is why they list different hotels under different dates.

i want to get the WESTIN.

what are the chances i will get it if the description of ammenities are identical Crowne plaza"s ammenities... ??

For this property there is no way to differentiate the Crowne Plaza from the Westin.

I tried different occupancy combination to see if i could get an alternate amenity set to appear but to no avial.

One way to differentiate between the Crowne Plaza and the Westin is the % of Hotwire customers that recommended the hotel in reviews. Based on other posts, the Westin has 95% and Crowne Plaza has 85% recommended.

There is nothing to check the current HOTWIRE customer rating % against (when tripadvisor reviews show, those can be searched for on tripadvisor) and occasionally ratings have been seen to change from search-to-search, so HOTWIRE customer % ratings are not an entirely reliable indicator.

sorry for updating this thread so many months later.

but we got theCrown plaza. Although we really wished we would get the Westin Diplomat, we actually enjoyed the stay at the Crown Plaza very much!!
