tbay88 Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I won my bid for 1 night (Thursday, February 9th 2012) Minneapolis-St Paul (Downtown Minneapolis) and got The Hilton. I am okay with getting it for $52. I have bid the area in the past for as low as $41. Started at $38 and used the free bid areas that didn't have 4-star properties.Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $52.00 Subtotal: $52.00Taxes and Service Fees: $14.36Total Charges*: $66.36***I have noticed that Priceline is showing certain guaranteed amenities. I'm hopeful this could eliminate potential hotels down the road**
thereuare Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Congratulations on your success! Hope you're pleased with the purchase and this property will work well for your plans. The amenities shown by PRICELINE or not hotel specific, but rather are amenities had by all hotels of that star rating in the zone have. So for example, if there are FIVE 4* hotels in a zone and they all have pools, then PRICELINE will display the Pool amenity... if only 4 out of 5 hotels have pools, then the pool amenity won't be shown.Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
