thereuare
The Crowne Plaza has previously been seen with this amenity set, but at the 3*, so i'd speculate that this property has been upgraded since last reported to the board and that would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. wjcassidy
I finally am ready to let the bidding begin, so a strategy would be much appreciated. For Asheville NC Dates; Friday March 30- Monday April 23.5 or a 4 * DOWNTOWN ASHEVILLEUp to 100 per night sound feasible? I would go a little higher for a 4*, maybe 120? That's really as high as I would want to go. I have plenty of time so I would love to start low-ish...After I book Asheville, I will work on my Charleston reservation on the Charleston site, April 2-6.. Still haven't figured out the car. I might just go for a smaller, more economical vehicle, since the prices are over my range for the Small SUVS. :(Thanks a lot.. Link to comment

I love to Priceline
wjcassidy, we've taken a lot of trips to Asheville. Always using Priceline and bidding 4-3 stars. We usually get the Crown Plaza in 3.5 star downtown zone. Its just an ok hotel but I recommend others well before it.Please be sure to post your winnings as we may be able to help each other I am going a few days after you go in April. Don't spend more than $80 on 3.5 star downtown zone. IMO I'd rather pay more and book direct then over pay for Crown Plaza. Try 3 stars in downtown, we once won the 4 points Sheraton and it excellent location to downtown! I am referring strictly to Priceline but may give Hotwire a try this time around.PS be sure to support this site and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links ;) Link to comment

wjcassidy
Hi therEHave you had better experiences with the 3* PL possibilities ? Actually, now that i think of it, I sometimes do think that the 3's are overall better values all factors considered?Would I be better off perhaps bidding on 3's in Downtown Asheville? I love to Priceline
Yes I would look at the hotel list so you can get an idea of what hotels you might winCheck hotwire and see what 3 star range is . Then start low in the 50-60 rangeLast year late April weekend trip we won four points for $64 I believe. Good luck Link to comment
wjcassidy
A follow up for Asheville. I found a nice B&B with a good rate for my days in Asheville so I went ahead and booked it . The Crooked Oak Mountain Inn. Should be a nice way to experience some of the Mountain flavor of the area. Thanks for the information and advice. it helped me make my plans for this trip. Now for Priceline in Charleston, see youthere Link to comment
