This will be my first trip to Boston (taking in a Sox game), and my first time using priceline for a hotel. I've read the strategy for zone re-bidding to slowly work your bids up in small increments, but would like some advice on where to start bidding and what I should expect to pay during the summer.

Trip info:

Dates: 06/10/12 - 06/13/12 (3 nights)

Preferred location: somewhere east and north of Fenway (Quincy Market, Copley Square, Waterfront, Harbor Front, Commons, or Beacon Hill)

Preferred star: 3.5+

Preferred price: $150

Any advice would be great, thanks!

Current rates are quite high for these dates and i'm also seeing low availability at some hotels (besides baseball do you know of some other event taking place during these dates??)

Currently i think you're likely looking at ~$200+ for a 3.5*/4* hotel for these dates, but given you have time you can start at whatever amount you'd like and gradually work higher as you get closer to your arrival date.

Did you want to start bidding now? (and did you want to start at the 3.5* level?)
