JSKoehler
This bid was submitted by a colleague on behalf of his (frugal) brother-in-law who had heard much about the Priceline method and wanted two rooms in Manhatten for $150 a night per room incluiding taxes and fees. We tried mightly for several weeks to get a 4* or 3* at that rate, with no luck. The the Roosevelt came up last when bidding Sunday (6/26) @$125 (or just a hair under the $150 max for the total per room per night). Because almost any of the mid-town/downtown zones were acceptable, we had many rebid opportunities and low-balled the opening bids shamelessly, so this bid is probably near rock bottom. The Roosevelt is no Waldorf, but I hope it will be found to be acceptable. Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for passing along the win.Do you recall the amount of the bid immediately prior to this acceptance?Like the Waldorf, one of the best qualities of this hotel is the lobby. I've heard mixed reviews; it has started to appear frequently via Priceline in the last week or two.Send 'em to Ess-A-Bagel (51st and Third Ave) for breakfast one morning... nearby this hotel and one of the best bagels in the city.
