Priceline Hotel: Outrigger Waikiki for $137?

I just tried a priceline bid series of up to 145 for 6/15-8/18 and was declined. Then I went to the website direct and noticed that there are going to be renovations going on and with the AAA discount I can get the room for $137 + tax. I don't know much about hotel rates in the summer but cost wise is it in my best interest to just jump on this or will the rates go down even further on priceline? I won on priceline the Outrigger Reef for the 11-13 and will be on the big island from 13-15. Will the bell desk let me leave a bag with them overnight at one of the hotels and pick them back up the next night on my way back in? I'm just trying to save $40 in bag fees when traveling.

Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your stay, but you can see the related link our PRICELINE FAQ for a further discussion of this subject. However, is the hotel direct rate refundable? If so, you have nothing to lose by booking that and then continuing to try PRICELINE / HOTWIRE in the weeks to come.

Hotel policy for storing bags differs from one hotel to the next, but since you already know the hotel you'll be staying in upon your return to the island, i would call them and ask for the bellman's desk (or the concierge) and explain the situation and inquire if you'll be able to keep your bag(s) there.
