Suchi Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 I really paid a price for my restlessness! Bidding for the 1st time.. I started at 40 for a 4*, then added a 3.5*... Got rejected at 47 for 3.5*.. And then I dunno what occured to me, I just added a 3* and did not change the price!! :( Going by the reviews of this resort, I can only hope to get a clean bug-free room!! We are celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary there and I'm really so unhappy about this deal!I must say, I love your forum.. I read through all your suggestions and user comments.. But... I'm going to use this learning next time!! Thanks and keep up the good work! :)
thereuare Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the results. I would email the hotel (manager or concierge) and explain to them that you just received this hotel and that "while you're looking forward to your stay, you're a bit concerned about some of the rooms quality issues that you're reading about online and that since it's your anniversary you're hoping to make it a special trip. Anything they can do to help make sure you receive an acceptable room would be appreciated". Usually the hotel employee with go out of their way to make sure you get a good room, and if you do hear back from somebody there, at the very least you now have a contact person should you encounter any issues with the room assignment.Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Jennerizer Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 This is a great place to stay. While it could use some updating & a fresh coat of paint, the beds are comfortable & the grounds are beautiful. The large pool is heated, the food & drinks are great. They even have a cute gift shop/ice cream shop near the pool. This is my favorite place to get away to (I live about 40 min) away. I have stayed at multiple hotels in Orlando...from 3 star to resort level & this one is near the top of my list to stay at again & again. I just stayed at the Grand Bohemian in Orlando & honestly I much prefer the more casual Wyndham resort. I hope you get a good room & have a great anniversary celebration!
