Using the PRICELINE link, started bidding in the following zones:

Rejected: $108.00 - Champs Elysees - Arc De Triomphe 4*

Rejected: $110.00 - Opera Quarter East - Les Halles 4*

Rejected: $115.00 - Opera Quarter West - Jardin des Tuileries 4*

Tried again the following day for the same three zones (starting out with single zone, adding additional zones)going up to $120 - all rejected

Tried again the following day for the same three zones (starting out with single zone, adding additional zones)going up to $130 - all rejected

Thinking I had a better shot of staying within our budget of $125 per night in the St. Germain zone, I tried all 4 zones (adding each one separately) up to $120 and was rejected

My final bid was submitted 24 hrs later and was on all 4 zones (again starting out with 1 zone at $108 and working my way up) and was accepted for St Germain for the Marriott Rive Gauce Hotel at $125 per night

Although not my first zone choice, I am very pleased to be able to stay in Paris for $125 per night. Thank you again to this site for all the helpful hints and to those who post their winning bids to assist others with their bidding strategy :)
