Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC 2/21/12 - 2/24/12 HELP needed

I plan to stay at 4* hotel in NYC from 2/21/12 to 02/24/12 for three nights.

Tried the strategy suggested on the other post. Bid up to $88 and got no luck so far.

Any ideas? Is that too early to lock a good deal? Thanks for your help.

It is definitely not too early to bid for less than a month away. What zones would be acceptable, and what would be your desired budget per night? What bid/s have you tried so far?

I would like to get a 4* hotel anywhere in mahaton island.

I bid all the way up to $88 but got no luck so far.

Hopefully I can get $83 b4 tax per night for Affinia Shelburne like the other guy did.

Rates are date specific, and under $100 for a 4* hotel in NYC is not that common. The other user's win was for a solo Saturday nite and weekends are a little slower in NYC vs. midtweek (when all of your dates are)

With the above noted, you could wait and hope for lower prices in the weeks ahead, but rates are very affordable for these dates at the moment, just not at the 'ultra-low' rates of the other win you're referencing.

I do think that you have a chance at winning near your current budget at the 3.5* level, but at the moment it will likely take more for a 4* hotel.

What is your maximum bid for this stay? Which zone(s) have you already bid?
