Today, after seeing 3.5* hotwire pricing starting at $81 for NO LA FQ, I tried $70 then $75 using the 2* area and won. (M website price $139)However this hotel (Marriott New Orleans) is now sold out from Sept. 11-16.I just read of the big hotels having a bigger tax.I'd also appreciate any 3-4* recommendations for great values on PL or HW in the 70-90 range.Used Savingsbarn to start the purchase, after your earlier advice for NYC.
