I need three rooms for six people.Any tips or suggestions? How many times can I bid per day? This will be my first venture into Pricelining it up!Thanks in advance.

TJ14 Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 I'd like to keep it right around $100 a night...tops!But I've seen winning bids anywhere from $56 to like $80ish which would be fantastic.
TJ14 Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 Just tried $72 a night. Denied.going to try a rebid.
TJ14 Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 Just tried $80 with adding and area with no four star hotels in it and got denied. Is something important going on in Chicago that weekend?
AaronJB Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 There's a mid-sized convention that starts on the 31st, which appears to be causing rates to ramp in the Loop (a number of properties are sold out when looking at 3/30-4/1 in the Loop) - there may be other things going on as well, as rates would suggest it's busier than the convention alone. I think you may be looking at closer to $100 to get a win in the 4* level, and I'd suggest moving up slowly. I do see what appears to be either the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza or Four Points Mag Mile for $62 on HOTWIRE; while not a 4*, a reasonable rate for a busier period.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
