Inigo Mentoyez Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 Thanks,I have clicked the PRICELINE link and HOTWIRE and I am getting roughly the same results. It is suggesting I bid $317 for a 4*. I was hoping for something closer to $150. Do you know which hotels in the SoHo district that accept bids in my range, I am looking for two rooms and two nights?
Inigo Mentoyez Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 I ended up with the Sheraton Tribeccca for $177 a night. Not an ideal choice. So maybe bid more if you want to be in Soho.
thereuare Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Rates are date specific and hotels load rates based upon their occupancy for the particular nites you're bidding, so there is no way to know which hotels would be likely to accept a big within your range for you're particular dates. If you're trying to take a guess as to which hotel you may receive then HOTWIRE would be a better, although slightly more expensive, option.HOTWIRE draws the zone boundaries in this area slightly differently, but they have a 4.5* in the Downtown-Soho zone for $202/nite which i'm guessing is either the Tribece Grand or the W Downtown Hotel (the latter not really being in 'Soho')Also, i assume you have reason to stay in the Downtown area as this is not typically the most convenient area for the average visitor, who usually stays more towards midtown. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
