tyngjiun Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Hi all,I'm looking for the 4*5* hotels in both north and south strip for 2/18, 2/19, two nights, (Trump is OK too.)Is it possible to get it under 110?I've checked the calendar of wins, and on one gets the 4* win at that time.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!
thereuare Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you willing to pay more for a 5* vs. a 4* OR if your goal is the least expensive 4* or better for this trip. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please click each of these previous links before replying.Thanks. tyngjiun Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 I'd like to keep focus on the 4* hotels, and hope that I can get it under 110 or a litter more...Of course, I'll use the link on this board to bid, just want to know more about the bidding rules. and try to make a limit for the bid. Thanks a lot!
thereuare Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 At the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones (NOTE: Summerlin is NOT one of them). If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Strip South...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Strip North...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Strip South and Strip North...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let know how it goes. tyngjiun Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 Thanks for the reply.May I ask why Summerlin is not the re-bid zone for 4* ? As my understanding, the re-bid zone is the area that has no 4*'s and 5*'s. is that correct?
thereuare Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 As my understanding, the re-bid zone is the area that has no 4*'s and 5*'s. is that correct?... or Resorts (which are listed 'out of order' and under the 1 star category on PRICELINE's page)Does that make it clearer? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. tyngjiun Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Posted February 1, 2012 Thanks for the reply,I use the PRICELINE link at the board for bidding, and finally get treasure island for $125/night.
thereuare Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Congratulations on your success! Hope you're pleased with the outcome and this property will work well for your plans.Note that almost everything on the strip has become very expensive, but if you go across the street from Treasure Island to the Fashion Show Mall there is a Starbucks, Chipolte, Grimaldi's Pizza, etc which have more 'normal' prices vs. everything on the strip. There is also an ABC Store there where you can buy soda, snacks, bottle of wine, beer, etc. at non-strip prices.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
