Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North) Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino

Dear all,

I am looking at 5* hotels in Las Vegas for these dates in Strip North

I want to go ahead to bid up to $150 which could possibly get me a deal.

However, I see some people win Trump even though they did not choose Strip North Condo. When you examine the maps carefully, Trump is listed under "Strip North Condo" as it is the only 5* hotel in that area.

What would you guys recommend for me to do in order to avoid Trump? I would hate to go to a hotel with no casino.

I'm aware of one post making this claim... are you aware of others? The post i'm referring to was from a new user and when i asked for clarification s/he did not reply, so while i can't say with 100% certainty that the Trump is still classified in the Strip North Condo zone, and is not in the Strip North zone, i'm not so convinced that there has been any change in this regard. It's very rare that PRICELINE will have a hotel placed in the wrong zone, but when we get reports of such, it is more often than not user error.

However, you'll ultimately need to decide if the savings are worth the risk that there is some sort of new zoning/classification in the area.

Thank you for your assistance. You surely make this forum a great source of information.

I took your word and chose Strip North and 5 star hotels only. I went up from $95. I increased by $10 each time and finally got Palazzo for $165. Not the greatest deal but still saves me at least 30%!

I specifically used the link from this forum, no worries :).

Finally, I am from Europe. I hope this will not be a problem when I check in since it is mainly Americans using the system.

Again, thank you and I will use it for my car rental next :)

Glad to see you gave it a go and are pleased with the results... looks like a very nice deal and this is a great hotel.

You won't have any problem checking-in, but always a good idea to bring your confirmation page with you regardless of how you book. This way if there are any issues like the hotel can't find your reservation because your last name is spelled incorrectly, it's easy to resolve and any information needed is right there in front of you.
