cowboyupdog Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 I would like to win a 3* hotel for PAGE, AZ this TUESDAY night..(1/31/12)Not sure there are any re-bid zones.I used the BB PRICELINE link and entered a bid for $41.00. It was declined. Don't exactly have much more than 24 hours to wait for a re-bid...Is there another PRICELINE link I can use to try again? Any other suggestions.
thereuare Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Unfortunately there are no re-bid zones in this area, so you will now either need to wait 24 hours to try your bid again, lower your star level, or change your check-in/check-out date (which i'm asusming is not an option given this is a one nite stay)What is your maximum bid for a 3* hotel for this trip? Using MAPS and HOTELS.com (or any other source) what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel in this zone? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. cowboyupdog Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 Thank you for your reply. Where this will be just a quick sleep over... Perhaps I should change my star preference to a 2 or 2.5... I really need to stay below $60 with taxes/fees. Probably a $45.00 price range would be safe. Thanks for the MAPS and HOTELS.com link... Found Super 8 looks like a decent place and for the price of $39 on hotels.com. Or could take my chances and bid one more time tomorrow evening (using BB link of course) for the 3* courtyard mariot and hope the super 8 prices don't go up in the mean time.
thereuare Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 Assuming there is at least one other back-up should the Hotels.com deal suddenly disappear, i would try again at $45, if that is rejected try a 2.5* at $45, as hopefully either would be 'better' than the Super 8. If that is rejected, then you can determine if you think an 'unknown' 2* would be better than the 'known' Super 8.Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (or our Hotels.com link should you decide to go that route)Good luck. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
