ilovepriceline1 Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 Okay I tried bidding last night up to $150 on a 4 Star hotel in Miami South Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront. I did go on several of the individual hotels on the Priceline list you provide and saw many were $350-$450. My trip is March 31 - April 3.I don't know what to do, I've used Priceline in the past. I know it would be cheaper to stay in Fort Lauderdale, but these are the two things I REALLY want = Miami and BEACH. I would prefer to be in the South Beach area, but open to Miami Beach. I just want a good vacation. My absolute max bid is $180/night. I have a Priceline coupon for $10 bonus cash if I bid 3 Stars or higher. Also, I see Hotwire has some deals, I just would like to use my bonus cash because it expires by 2/3/12. But in the end I want a quality hotel and a good deal near the beach. LOL!Any help would be appreciated.
AaronJB Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 Within the desired zones, are you seeing any hotels within your desired budget range on HOTWIRE? My guess is that this falls within Spring Break range for some and rates in the more popular zones are running high. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
ilovepriceline1 Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 I did see one for $157 on Hotwire 3 Star in South Beach Ocean Drive. Do you think that's a good indicator of what to bid on Priceline or no since they use different hotels?

ilovepriceline1 Posted January 30, 2012 Author Report Posted January 30, 2012 I understand but my dilemma is Priceline Vs. Hotwire. As well as trying to find a good hotel on the beach in Miami under $180.
