vadnannie Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 We are looking to get a hotel downtown Chicago (4*) at the end of August. We tried Priceline once, bidding 75, 80 and 85--all were rejected. Will we have better luck waiting until closer to the actual date? Thanks!AR

vadnannie Posted June 30, 2005 Author Report Posted June 30, 2005 It'll be either Aug 24-26 or Aug 31-Sept 2. The dates we originally tried were Aug 30 and 31st, though. I checked the convention site, and there are a few conventions both weeks, but nothing too huge. It looks like the earlier dates have smaller delegations. Is it usually better to bid way ahead or closer to the date?
