Priceline Hotel: Need Help Vienna 5*

Hello :-)

I'm searching for a 5* Hotel in Vienna. My favourite would be the Sofitel Stephansdome...

Has anybody got experinces/news about the Hotel and Priceline/Hotwire ?

Chris,

Up in the heading area where it says "Search" - the smaller white box, not the orange one - enter "vienna". Then in the area to the right of it select "Forums".

You will get all the various Vienna related posts on this site.

If you elect to bid via Priceline, you can't pick a specific hotel. You have to accept any hotel in the zone(s) you bid, of the star level you selected.

With Hotwire, although it is opaque, often the experts here can give you an educated guess as to what it might be. Just post back here with the details of the Hotwire offer - dates, amenities and rate.

Regarding the Sofitel, no one has reported it as a win via either Priceline or Hotwire. There have been a number of other Vienna hotels reported though. In the Hotel Reviews - Austria there were four Vienna hotel reviews. If you haven't already, you might look in www.tripadvisor.com for lots more reviews.

I bid for a 5 star hotel in Vienna (I bid in March for April stay)

I bid USD 102 and I got Vienna Marriott. It was a wonderful hotel, tho we did not get any complimentary breakfast.

At USD 100, it did not accept my bid.

Very near the underground train. Across the hotel was the bus stop for the tram cars, that we took and had a tour of the city. The travel card that we bought at the station was valid for the tram too.

Go for it !!!
