I booked this hotel just a few days before labor day weekend on 8/28/11. I was actually disappointed as I didn't see the RESORT star level as it was below the 1 star level or was located somewhere I didn't see it. I can't quite recall the circumstances. Either way, I thought I was rebidding in a safe zone while trying to get a 4 or 5 star hotel on the north part of the strip. This hotel is not very close to the strip. I want to it say 20-30 minutes away. This is an estimate only. Thus, we were disappointed as we had friends staying on the strip.

I've heard its nice, but I actually did not stay there. This is because I knew it had smoking rooms and when I called to request a non-smoking room, they couldn't guarantee it. I don't think they always let you cancel for this reason, but they did cancel for me. I think this may have been because as time went on the prices for the stay continued to rise as I continued to re-check hotwire after I canceled. I can't be sure why they let me cancel.

I unfortunately do not have the amenities for the Red Rock as I did not write it down before I booked.

Sorry to hear that this reservation did not work out - the resort level is a potential upgrade from a 4* bid - but glad you were able to cancel.
