Romelle Posted January 27, 2012 Report Posted January 27, 2012 I'm only seeing a 3 1/2* Hotwire now (your dates) at $158. Hotwire does change all the time though. (For that matter, if you see a good deal on it don't hesitate.)I'm a member, not a moderator, so won't try to guess what hotel it might be.Regarding whether it would be cheaper, the only answer is you won't know for sure unless you try.....I tried Priceline bidding Nice a couple of years ago. First had researched my next best options with various sites (including Hotwire). While there are reports of successful Nice bids, I eventually got up to the same level as my researched options so just went with one of them. Interestingly enough, it was not through the sites like Kayak and Hotels.com and such. It was directly from the Best Western web site. I'd suggest you do similar research first. There are a lot of links to the general booking sites and specific hotel sites on the Support Page (and a link to that in the heading up above on this page). And while I'm at it, bus fare to lots of the interesting surrounding cities was only one Euro. Amazing bargain. Train fare also very reasonable, but not that reasonable. Romelle

Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. The rate is $91 per night (total $289.77).Amenities are different than you mentioned: Airport Shuttle, Restaurant, High-Speed Internet AccessThe 3 1/2* one in Nice is still there - $166 (total $555.07)Restaurant and High-Speed Internet AccessI was using the default 2 adults/0 children. The 4* one doesn't show when I use 4 nights.Romelle
