Priceline Hotel: 4* Los Angeles (Beverly Hills - West Hollywood) Mondrian-A Morgans Hotel

Following on from my other Priceline San Francisco thread.

I now need some advice before bidding for LA.

I plan to stay 5 nights here, from April 1st - April 6th

From researching I believe either Beverly Hills - West Hollywood or Hollywood (Unless anyone could advise otherwise? First timers to LA) suits us best.

Can anyone please advise a strategy for bidding?

Can anyone confirm this strategy for me?

5* Luxury or 4* Star Deluxe

Select Beverly Hills - West Hollywood bid $95, if rejected add Culver City

Select Beverly Hills - West Hollywood bid $100, if rejected add Inglewood

Select Beverly Hills - West Hollywood bid $105, if rejected add USC

Select Beverly Hills - West Hollywood bid $110, if rejected add Lawndale

Am I being a bit too optimistic with price there?

Are you willing to pay more for a 5* hotel vs. a 4* OR is your goal the least expensive 4* or better for this stay?

Also, while your bidding strategy is sound (but always double check your re-bid zones just before bidding) and you can certainly start with the bid prices above, based upon current rates i'd be surprised if you're successful at $110 or less... i think you'll more likely need to be in the $140-$160 area at this time.

Well, ideally I would like 5* (although there aren't many to choose) but yes, looking to get the least expensive 4*, is there a better strategy?

When bidding 4* in this region you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood and Hollywood...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $110

If the above is rejected, let us know if you'd like to increase your maximum bid and we'll take it from there.
