bonk75 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Any bidding advice (amt to begin bidding, etc) to try to get Champions Gate or Gaylord Palms in Orlando Jan 31-4?
thereuare Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Note that you can't bid on a specific hotel, when using PRICELINE you need to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating, or higher, that you choose.Assuming you're looking to bid for a Resort class property in the (Disney Maingate - Celebration) zone, so we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher than you're willing to pay, what is your maximum bid for this trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and please click this PRICELINE link before replying. bonk75 Posted January 24, 2012 Author Report Posted January 24, 2012 Yes we would be bidding for a resort-is it possible to get a resort like Gaylord Palms or Champions gate for 70-85?
thereuare Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 The range you indicated seems a bit low, but as you don't have much time before your stay, and you do have lots of re-bid zones, here is a strategy up to $100 (just to pick a number) and you can stop at any amount you're comfortable with and we'll take it from there. At the Resort level you have TWELVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select Resort Maingate-Celebration...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $78, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $83, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
