Lots of 2.5* properties in this area so i would think rates must be up for these dates across the board.

I have had one experience at a Wingate (Long Island) and it was very nice... big room, clean, and free business center with internet. It was only a 2 or 3 story building and we were on the first floor which i didn't like very much, but it was more than fine for our one nite stay.

I haven't seen the Red Lion Hillsboro come up for years (didn't even realize it was on the list!) and I think the Wellesley Inn Beaverton, which was bought out by Extended Stay, is now ranked as a 2*.

I've stayed at a Wingate in Orlando (near Universal Studios) for $45/night and it was decent. This was in 2001, before I knew about bidding for hotel rooms!
