Nathan0490 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 What is my best chance to score a deal on Cosmo at either Hotwire or Priceline for April 13-15? The cheapest I've seen is about $250 a night for that weekend. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!PS. I did read the Welcome PM and have been reading for the past 2 days here for as much info as possible.
AaronJB Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The Cosmopolitan has been reported as a PRICELINE win, but not HOTWIRE. However, the hotel has only very rarely been seen as a win and there is no way to guarantee/increase the odds of a particular property when bidding - if you bid 5* South Strip, you have to be willing to accept any of the possible properties in the zone. Would any other properties be acceptable, or is the Cosmo the only hotel of interest?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Nathan0490 Posted January 23, 2012 Author Report Posted January 23, 2012 Vdara, Aria, and Bellagio are acceptable properties as well. However Vdara I found for $363.20 total, including taxes through their website. So I'd hate to pay more then that for Vdara.
thereuare Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 I do think your deal at the Vdara will be tough to beat, but if you want to give it a try, did you only want to bid the Strip South zone or is the Strip North zone acceptable as well? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Nathan0490 Posted January 23, 2012 Author Report Posted January 23, 2012 Venetian/Palazzo would be acceptable, so yes North Zone as well.
thereuare Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I'm assuming other 5* hotels in the Strip North zone are acceptable as well? (Wynn, Encore, etc??)If so, you can try as follows:At the 5* level in Vegas you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North and Strip South...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
