Just booked the Radisson on Lexington.

Bid history

Friday; started with Chelsea 4*, added all other surrounding areas and went up to 65$

Then, added in 3.5* and eventually 3*, not going higher than 65$

Saturday; Same procedure, but going up to 70$

Sunday; Started with Chelsea, Midtown East and west and MSG 4* and then 3.5* up to 72$

Added in 3* and got the Radisson.

I did not get any counter-offers.

The total taxes and fees were 39.58$

I'm hoping to get a room with 2 beds so I will update after my trip.

Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Good deal for this Radisson property for this time period. Two beds is difficult in NYC; you may want to call/write ahead to request two beds and see what they say.

Enjoy your stay.

I just got back from New York. The hotel was actually great, very helpful and welcoming staff. I did not need to ask for the upgrade, they offered without prompting when they saw I was with my kids (a 7yo and a baby). They offered either a room with 2 twin beds or a queen so we went with the queen.

I ended up with a nice room on the 27th floor with a good view and huge bathroom. The bathroom was huge because it was right behind the elevators so it was quite noisy in there, but not in the rest of the room. We did have some loud neighbours Saturday night who woke us up at 4am, but that's not the hotel's fault. My youngest spilled water all over the bed and room service was very quick to come change the bedding. The bed was very comfortable, with just the right kind of comforter for the temperature and plenty of pillows of various softness. Check in and check out were both fast and easy.

Overall, a good experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is just looking for a decent place to sleep after a long day of being out in the city and not a place to hole up in for a luxurious week end. The location is also good, not very close to a subway, but within walking distance of most things people go to New York for.
