I went to the Dupont Circle Hotel website and put in the same dates and the cheapest room available was $259.00/night.

I first bid $80 for a 4* in Dupont Circle/Woodley Park and lost.

I think that I did three consecutive free-rebids, adding a new zone each time, before getting a winning bid at $99.

(I recently tried to do free re-bids based on another site, but i was scolded that what I called a free re-bid was not actually a free re-bid and she ordered me to read her FAQ. I had previously read it and found it impossible to understand. I read the FAQ for Priceline free re-bids on this site and found it much easier to understand. Still not 100% convinced that I did a true free re-bid, though.)

I used the Betterbidding.com link to place my PRICELINE bid.
