Rosie326 Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 I've been reading how people are winning 4* hotels in these areas for $160 but I'm not seeing that.Trying to stay close to East Village so only looking at these 2 areas...seeing 2.5* for $157 butdon't really want to stay in 2.5* hotel. The 4* hotel is $246...any suggestions for me as we werehoping to keep it at no more than $200. Thank you from the Newbie...

thereuare Posted January 21, 2012 Report Posted January 21, 2012 Seasonally Spring is one of the most expensive times of year in NYC. I assume most of the $160 hotel wins are for the winter months (low season in NYC) and not for the same time frame as your own stay?Would you also consider MTE which (at the 4* level and higher) should put you closer to a subway station where you can catch the 4-5-6 train for a short ride to the Village (or a reasonably priced taxi ride). What is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel thru conventional booking channels? Rosie326 Posted January 21, 2012 Author Report Posted January 21, 2012 Dear Thereuare...I actually got those hotel win prices off of the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins section of your website...one was from mid May and the other was actually around Memorial Day weekend. Was wondering if you had an idea which ESB hotel would be listed at $190 for that time period...says it has suites, kitchenettes, etc with an 85% rating. Thank you again.
