eandm Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Hi, I am trying to find a hotel in NYC (near Times Square) for 1 nt 7/8. I see one on hotwire for $158 that is 3*'s and the amenities are boutique, restuarant, FC, int, BC. Does anyone know what hotel this might be? Also, I am really nervous about using priceline but do you think it is more likely I will get a better price that way? I am hoping to spend around $150 for at least 3*. Thanks
thereuare Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding! This hotel has not yet been identified, but i think a reasonable guess would be the Paramount. It has been reported before as you posted, but without the Hi-Speed Internet icon... given that hi-speed itnerntet is getting rolled out in more and more hotels it may be a new icon added to this property since it was previously reported. If it is the Paramount, the reviews are not so good.If you don't need to be in Time Square i do think a better quality hotel and value is The Beekman Tower where you can get a 1BR suite for $163/nite (no booking fee so extually a few pennies cheaper than the equivalent Hotwire hotel above). Unlike the Paramount, the reviews are excellent.Let us know your thoughts on the above and what you decide to do. If we can be of additional help feel free to ask. eandm Posted July 1, 2005 Author Report Posted July 1, 2005 Thanks for the advice--I will check out the Beekman Tower--and I will use the links! I'm not the most computer saavy person and I have been reading all of the advice on this website and it has been so helpful to me. THanks
eandm Posted July 1, 2005 Author Report Posted July 1, 2005 Hi! I checked out the reviews of the Beekman tower and it sound great but through the link you posted the room rate was $183--I guess because it is a Friday night. I still might do it because it is a good rate for what looks like a great hotel but I want to explore other options. I have made a 6pm reservation at the Barclay for $189 but I'm still hoping to find something good for around $150. If you have any other ideas let me know. THanks for the assistance.
thereuare Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 It was $163 four days ago :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
