bjsta Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Today I entered in the dates August 10-13 and the hotel rate offered was for $80. It seemed to match the description of the Red Rock Resort, but has anyone bid/gotten Red Rock? When I click to see the listed hotel prices, the 4* Summerlin hotel is the JW Marriot. I'm concerned I won't get the place I want. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. :)

bjsta Posted January 18, 2012 Author Report Posted January 18, 2012 They offer: Resort, casino, fitness center, restaurants, etc.I can't tell a difference between the amenities between the two hotels. This is interesting though: It is offered as a 4.5* hotel. When I go into the part of Hotwire that provides the name of the hotel, RRR is a 5* and JW Marriot is a 4*.

bjsta Posted January 18, 2012 Author Report Posted January 18, 2012 Resort, pool(s), high speed internet access, spa services, casino, restaurants, golf nearby, fitness center, business center, tennis nearby
thereuare Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 These amenities match previous reports for the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa so that would be my best guess for this one. The JW Marriott has never been reported to the board thru HOTWIRE (but has thru PRICELINE). The star ratings on the retail side of HOTWIRE are not always the same as they are on the 'opaque' side of their service. As well, this HOTWIRE offer shows a 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating, which is consistent with the Red Rock Canyon, whereas the JW Marriott currently has a 4.0/5.0 TA rating. The TA information shown by HOTWIRE is not updated in real time so it's always possible that the rating has changed since HOTWIRE's last update, but everything here would be indicative of the Red Rock Resort, imo, but there are never any guarantees. If you're not comfortable with an opaque purchase, you can book the Red Rock Resort on sale for $108/nite.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
