Priceline Hotel: 5* Hong Kong (Central Kowloon) Langham Place

Bid via PL SG. Tried from SGD 120 today and got there at SGD 165 (about $105). Also tried from $90 yesterday just in TST to get the Sheraton but they said nothinbg, even upto about $150! Later found out they were full, for their cheaper rooms at least, so maybe they don't release superior rooms to PL??? Not sure if it would of made a difference had I used PL HK or US?

I'd be pretty sure that they (hotels) don't sell upper class rooms (everything else than standard) via Priceline.. so probably no way for the Sheraton in this case... but 165SG$ for the Langham seem to be a very nice deal too. Did you bid for all zones?

Ah.. I just see by their internet sites, that it's not the Langham Hotel (formely Great Eagle) in TST but the Langham Place.. which is another one.. so a new one for the lists... ah, the Eaton Hotel (4star Central Kowloon) is managed by the same group.. I see..

The rooms look very nice on their site, all with flat TVs etc.. so maybe you can post a review later-on. Rates on their site for std room ("executive") are 980HK$ per night plus taxes, including taxes 3322 HK$ for these 3 nights. So you saved around 150SG$ for the whole stay..

I stayed in this hotel earlier this year (non PL booking) and thought it was excellent.

Stayed in an executive room with 42" plasma, glass partition between bedroom & bathroom (takes a bit of getting used to though!)

Like many HKG hotels rooms are fairly small but are well equipped. Free internet access is available adjacent to the bar with both macs and pc's.

Also hotel is connected to a large new shopping centre with many food outlets.

ISTR there is a level of rooms below executive though - deluxe? - only difference I remember is lower floors and smaller lcd tv's instead of plasmas.
