ChrisN Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 I was actually attempting to bid for a 3-star in multiple Charleston areas, but was upgraded to 3.5 star by Priceline. I started bidding at $40 and attempted bidding over a period of 3 days in $1 increments, using multiple zone permutations per day. At $50, I received a message stating that my bid was not accepted, but that if I immediately increased my bid to $60 there was a "strong chance" of my bid being accepted. At that point, I knew I was in the ballpark so I ignored this message and ended up with the $52 bid acceptance.
