My folks will visit the weekend I'm running the New York Half Marathon. This puts them within walking distance of the race start in Central Park near Columbus Circle, near Broadway shows, and near trains for travel to/from my place in Brooklyn and my girlfriend's in Harlem. I've had a drink in the lobby - nice - and look forward to seeing more of the hotel.

Oops, hopefully I used the board's link to reserve - sorry, board, if I didn't. I'd clicked the PRICELINE link to start, but struck out bidding there on 3.5/4 stars before going with the attractive price for the 90%-recommended MTC four star on HOTWIRE.

One can request a bed type with the hotel after booking, but there is no guarantee (especially in NYC, where rooms are quite small and rooms w/two beds often go for a premium.) If you indicate more than two people in the room, you should get bedding for the entire party, but there is no guarantee as to specifics.
