ITistic Posted January 10, 2012 Report Posted January 10, 2012 We'll need 4 beds total (most likely 2 rooms) checking in February 24th and checking out February 26th (2 nights). Any tips for getting a good rate on PriceLine at a 4-5* hotel?
AaronJB Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide your desired max budget per night for this stay. Additionally, please confirm the PRICELINE zones of interest and desired star rating (PRICELINE does not offer 5* bidding in Miami.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

ITistic Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 Thanks! I've clicked both the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links before replying to this thread. We need two double rooms (2 beds in each room) with a max budget of $250/night. We're interested in the following zones: South Beach - CentralSouth Beach - Collins Avenue Oceanfront South Beach - Ocean DriveThanks again for your help :)
AaronJB Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 How many people are going to be in each room? PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy - while one can request a room with two beds via the hotel after booking, the hotel may be unwilling or unable (or may charge an additional fee if a room w/2 beds is usually priced at a premium.) With HOTWIRE, if you search for more than two people in the room, you should get bedding for the entire party, although there is no guarantee as to exact bedding - while 2 beds is common, it may be 1 + sofabed or other combination.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
ITistic Posted January 12, 2012 Author Report Posted January 12, 2012 Thanks, Aaron. There's going to be 2 people in each room but we need two beds in each room. I forgot about that problem with PRICELINE. Maybe it's not a good idea for us to use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, then...
thereuare Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy per room, essentially guaranteeing your separate sleeping accommodations in each room. While this usually/often means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a rollaway brought into the room, a pullout sofabed, etc... would this work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
