alice12 Posted January 7, 2012 Report Posted January 7, 2012 Hello! I would like to find a 4* or 4*+ hotel in NYC for the night of 1/11. This is for a very short mid-week touristy/romantic trip and I don't have an absolute idea of what area we want to be in. I think that is flexible as long as we are relatively close to the action-- Times Square, central park, etc. I was hoping to find something for less than $150. Do you have any bidding advice? Thank you!
AaronJB Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)In terms of a romantic stay, are you looking for a particular type of property? This is a fairly slow date, and HOTWIRE - where one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing based upon the information - has a number of options under $150, including a 4* in Times Square for $150. In terms of HOTWIRE, which zones on the HOTWIRE map would be acceptable?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
alice12 Posted January 8, 2012 Author Report Posted January 8, 2012 On HOTWIRE, midtown central and times square look like a safe bet in terms of central location. I think other areas might work, like midtown east if it was closer to times square rather than the water. Any way to tell what the midtown central option is? Thanks again!
thereuare Posted January 8, 2012 Report Posted January 8, 2012 For help with the MTC property please include the amenities HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're being offered. However, i'd suggest looking at the 4* ESB property for just $125/nite (your rate may differ slightly) with Boutique and Business icons. This matches previous reports for the Kitano get gets an excellent TA rating of 4.5/5.0. alice12 Posted January 8, 2012 Author Report Posted January 8, 2012 Thanks! I am going to go with HOTWIRE and the 4* ESB property which I see listed for $116 a night with the Boutique and Business icons. This seems like a great price and should work for us!
